I am making the time to record some history about The San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center, dba Sentro Filipino. Below is one of the fliers I had created in 2018 for an Open House Celebration. I had written a history of the cultural center’s beginnings. The current president of the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center’s board of directors is Radi Calalang.

The Fil-Am Journey Continues at San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center
A group of two dozen non-Filipino seniors, curious about Filipino history and culture, gathered around Richard Kempis one winter afternoon at the mezzanine floor of the historic Bulletin Building at 814 Mission Street, located halfway between Fourth Street and Fifth Street in San Francisco. “Doc Kempis,” the president of the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center’s board of directors, was the designated chronicler and story teller for a lecture about “Everything Filipino.”
